Safe Environment

The Safe Environment Program makes it mandatory for any adult who may have any possible contact with children must obtain background checks. All background checks and clearances must be obtained prior to beginning work/service. Minors under the age of 18 who are volunteering are NOT required to obtain background checks. These regulations are in place for the safety of our children.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or member of an organization that requires compliance with our Safe Environment, please contact the parish office to let us know, and complete the mandatory actions below.

If you are a volunteer, you are required (by the State of PA) to submit a signed Disclosure Statement for Volunteers. This form is attached.

PA Department of Public Welfare Child Abuse Clearance Check

Complete the Electronic Submission section. Once completed, the State will either email or mail a copy directly to your home. There is no fee for a volunteer to obtain this certificate.

PA State Police Criminal Record Check

Click on the New Volunteer Record Check link. Clearance can be obtained with results available within a few minutes. There is no fee for a volunteer to obtain this Certificate.

Safe Environment Part I Protecting God’s Children
